Kalyanam Karoti, India- A Charitable Organization with a Vision

Kalyanam Karoti, is a charitable organization with primary objectives of ‘Eradication of Blindness’ and ‘Helping the Physically Handicapped’. Its activities commenced in 1981, under the aegis of then Chief Minister of Utter Pradesh, Shri Chander Bhanu Gupta. Since its inception it has benefitted lacs of poor patients and physically challenged persons. Working with spirit of service and dedication our volunteer workers have won acclaim of poor aged and physically challenged population. Subsequently, two additional branches were established in Mathura and Meerut.

The Meerut branch of Kalyanam Karoti was formed in June 1994. In 1995, an eye hospital was set up within the premises of the Cantonment General Hospital. The Meerut branch was officially inaugurated in 1995 by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

Kalyanam Karoti of Meerut is committed to alleviating suffering of poor and aged in the field of eye care, prevention of blindness and serving the physically handicapped.’ Despite limited resources, we have moved on determinedly over the years and achieved commendable results.

Most of our charitable work is rural based particularly in remote areas where medical facilities are non existing. We conduct approximately 55 Eye Camps and three to four camps for the Handicapped each year.  We also accept requests for setting up these camps from people and other organizations. We have held camps extensively in Meerut District.
